Dale Connearn ran the London Marathon on the 13th April 2008. This was his 5th London Marathon and 10th Marathon in total, having also competed in New York twice, Disney World, Florida, Blackpool and Manchester. Dale lined up with 35,000 runners, feeling “in the best shape of my life” he hoped to achieve a personal best finishing time, aiming to go below the 3 hour barrier for the first time. However heavy rain and ‘hitting the wall’ at the 19 mile mark put pay to this plan, and he had to settle for a time of 3hours and 25 minutes (still very respectable).

Completing the course for the 5th time means that Dale has raised over £600 in sponsorship for the Royal Court Theatre. “I was surprised how many people approached me about sponsoring and raising money for the theatre” commented Dale.

The Theatre will benefit from Dale’s endeavours and the management committee want to express their thanks and appreciation to Dale - Well Done!
